Wine description
This Apulian white wine from the Varvaglione Winery was created as a tribute to the family's founder, Maria Teresa Basile Varvaglione. The grapes used are 100% Chardonnay, which are harvested and then subjected to soft pressing, followed by fermentation in barriques. Ageing takes place in barriques with frequent batonnage.
Characteristics of this wine from Apulia
It has a golden yellow colour and a very intense olfactory profile reminiscent of yellow fruit and toasted almonds. On the palate it has good balance and pleasant acidity.
Recommended pairings with this Apulian white wine
Excellent with all fish dishes. Serve at a temperature of 10-12 C°.
