“Naturalis Historia” is a wine obtained from grapes of a vineyard that is 40 years old, cultivated in our lands of Mirabella Eclano. With its structure and its longevity, it represents “Irpinia”, an ancient territory that the famous Virgil defined as: “A land that is jealous of its numerous mysteries”. The denomination Taurasi DOCG requires the use of 100% Aglianico. The lands, with their south-east orientation, are characterized by a deep soil of volcanic origins full of clay and limestone. They are located 400 meters on the sea level. Spur pruned training method on espalier, with 2500 stumps per hectare that are able to develop 40 quintals per hectare. Vineyard are 40 years old and the manual harvest is planned at the end of October in order to reach the maturation of the grapes. The red wine making is developed with maceration at controlled temperature. The aging in French oak barrels lasts 24 months, followed by a further maturation of 30 months in the bottle.

This wine shows an intense ruby red colour. Its perfume is elegant, with sensation of flowers, like lily of the valley and fruits. The taste is warm, enchanting, structured and soft, with aromas that recall plum, bitter cherry, raspberry, strawberry marmalade and spices.
