Wine list | Rosso di Montalcino |
This wine has the same features of Brunello, but in a younger version. It is produced with the same Sangiovese grapes coming from younger vineyards that will give elegant and perfumed wines, with less structure and tannins than Brunello. “Rosso di Montalcino” is ideal for formal happenings and for those people who want to drink a good glass of wine suitable every day. It is produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes, like Brunello di Montalcino. During the wine-making, the soft pressed grapes are cooled at 16°, in order to extract from the peels polyphenols and anthocyanins. The classic alcoholic fermentation follows with its 12/13 days at a controlled temperature of 28°C. The aging, that lasts 6 months, is managed in steel container and in oak barrels (small and medium dimensions).
Features of Rosso di Montalcino DOC
