This Apulian rosé wine owes its name to the place where the Masseria Surani Winery is located, near Manduria. The grapes used for the production of this wine are 100% Negroamaro, coming from the company's vineyards located in Salento: here the soils are calcareous, rich in iron. After the manual harvest, the vinification phase begins, which includes 8/10 hours of maceration on the skins; this is followed by fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature and a final phase of maturation in the bottle for a minimum period of 4 months.
Characteristics of this Apulian rosé wine
On the organoleptic examination this wine shows a cherry pink color, with olfactory notes reminiscent of floral notes of rose and geranium but also fruity notes of pink grapefruit and pomegranate. On the palate it is characterized by a certain freshness, persistence and flavor.
