Vinification in 100% pure Merlot grapes. The origin is that of the area of Ofena, 500 meters above sea level. The land is located a few meters from the ancient village of San Silvestro, close to the Abruzzo National Park. The vineyard is located in an area that reaches very cold temperatures in the winter months and very high in the summer months, which are mitigated by the constant ventilation coming from the Gran Sasso. The harvest takes place at the end of September. The vinification involves the passage in stainless steel wine silos, with temperature control. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months and aged in bottle for at least 24 months.
Characteristics of this red wine
The wine has a ruby red color with garnet nuances. The nose expresses very intense notes of blackberry, cocoa, vanilla and dried flowers. The taste on the palate is complex, deep, all played on the fruit and a good balance. Long, it closes with a finish of excellent persistence.
