Magnum 1,5 Liters ORNELLAIA Bolgheri Superiore 2020 DOC in Wooden Case ORNELLAIA

This bottle is 1.5 liter Magnum format and is sold in a silk-screened wooden box.

Princely, refined and of immense elegance. Vinified with a blend of grapes composed of 34% of Cabernet Sauvignon , 32% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, 20% Petit Verdot. The collection, as per the tradition of Ornellaia winery it took place by hand in 15 kg boxes and the bunches were selected on a double sorting table before and after destemming and subjected to a soft pressing at the end. Each variety and parcel was vinified separately.The alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at temperatures between 26-30°C for a week which was followed by maceration for a total of about 10-15 days. The malolactic fermentation took place mainly in oak barriques (70% new and 30% second passage). The wine remained in barriques in the Ornellaia cellar at a controlled temperature for about 18 months. After the first 12 months, the blending was carried out and then reintroduced into the barriques where it spent another 6 months. The wine remains in the bottle for another 12 months before being released on the market.

Characteristics of the Bolgheri Superiore Ornellaia wine

On organoleptic examination it has a deep ruby red colour, with a wonderful luster and a luxurious feel.The nose persuades with intense and fine sensations of red pulp fruit, with an elegant spiciness and hints of mushrooms and bark. The taste in the mouth is balanced, ample, round, with velvety tannins and an alcoholic structure that suggests a great aging capacity. A generous Ornellaia in this vintage, persistent and mineral, with a long finish played on fruity and spicy notes.

The Bolgheri Superiore DOC "Ornellaia" from the infamous winery Tuscany Tenuta Ornellaia magically accompanies game-based dishes or red meats. Sublime also with refined risottos and important cheeses.The ideal serving temperature is 16° maximum 18° C. It should be poured into a large goblet which allows the wine to oxygenate.
