The Grillo Quèto Bio of Feudo Arancio was born on the Sambuca di Sicilia estate, in the province of Agrigento, in a hilly context at about 200 metres above sea level. The vineyards are grown organically and grow on calcareous, grassy, and well-ventilated soils thanks to the constant influence of Mediterranean breezes and the presence of a tuff quarry that contributes to creating a unique microclimate. Grillo grapes are harvested between the end of August and the beginning of September and pressed in the total absence of oxygen, using the reduction winemaking technique, to preserve their freshness and aromatic fragrance. After a natural decantation, the must ferments in steel at a controlled temperature (about 18 °C). The wine then ages for a few months on the fine lees with bâtonnage, so as to acquire greater structure and complexity without losing its varietal imprint.
Characteristics of this BIO wine from Sicily
In the calyx it has an intense straw yellow colour. The olfactory profile is clearly tropical, with notes of mango and papaya that intertwine with floral notes of jasmine and white flowers. On the palate it is balanced and harmonious, with a fresh acidity that supports the sip and good taste persistence. The overall feeling is that of a clear, fragrant and well-defined wine, with a pleasant Mediterranean imprint.
Recommended pairings with this white wine from Feudo Arancio
It is a versatile organic white, ideal with fish dishes, seafood, Mediterranean salads and first courses with vegetables. It also pairs well with light white meats and mild-tasting summer preparations. The recommended service temperature is between 10 and 12 °C, so as to enhance its freshness, aromaticity and flowability.
