Grillo "Astolfo" Igt Terre Siciliane is a Sicilian white wine produced by the Assuli company located in the Trapani countryside in Mazzara del Vallo. The name Taya remembers a little territory protected by the Alliata family where the Grillo grapes, conteined in this wine, are farmed. This wine grapes are 100% Grillo picked at the end of August. The temperature of the fermentation is controled and it takes place half in steel and half in not toated oak barrels. Follows 3 months in “Sur Lies” barrels and at least 3-4 months in bottle.
Characteristics of the Grillo Terre Siciliane wine
Esthetically is bright straw yellow with some green reflections. The scent is fruity with evident tropical fruit and citron flavors. The taste is fresh, sapid and coherent with the smell sensations.
