The Franciacorta Extra Brut is born in the vineyards of the Tenuta La Montina located between Lake Iseo and the morainic amphitheater of Franciacorta, in the province of Brescia. This very refined sparkling wine is mainly produced with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. This Extra Brut is the result of two different pressing. The first, soft through the vertical press marmonier, and the second with the classic lung presses. The wine then ages in the bottle for at least 24 months on the lees before being placed on the market. The blend is composed of 85% Chardonnay, to which is added Pinot Noir for 15%. The aging of the wine develops in bottle for at least 24 months on the lees.
Characteristics of Franciacorta Extra Brut
