SIDDURA
Literally "saddle", the Siddùra winery, is located in Gallura, in the north-east of Sardinia near the famous Costa Smeralda. It is here, in this corner of land, between sea and granite, that the tradition of Sardinian wine culture is renewed. Siddùra is born from the fusion of entrepreneurial experience and passion: founded in 2008 and owned by the Gottesdiener family, Siddùra represents the realization of a dream. Siddùra is a growing winemaking reality, immersed in a valley surrounded by forests, with steep and difficult to cultivate soils. But it is the slopes and the type of soil, poor, with granite decay, to impart the intense character to the wines produced. Vermentino di Gallura, Cannonau, Carignano, international wines and a passito for a production of about 350 thousand bottles that boasts an enviable record of medals won in the most important international competitions. Siddùra in Gallurese means saddle, it takes its name from the shape of the hills on which the rows climb. The production philosophy is based on the belief that wine production begins in the vineyard, being the wine a true reflection of its terroir. This consideration influences all aspects of production: limited harvests to ensure the highest quality, hand-selected harvest, micro-vinification and aging in the best oak barrels built in France. The close link between the winery and the territory is also underlined by the great attention given to the choice of wine names, which are inspired by Sardinian or Etruscan words. The Vermentino di Gallura is called Spèra, which in dialect Gallurese means "beam of light"; the Vermentino Superiore di Gallura, Maìa or "magic" and the Cannonau Riserva Fòla, "fairy tale". All Siddùra wines are characterized by purity and elegance and a clean and impeccable style that makes them loved not only in Italy but also abroad. The quality of these products is proven by the excellent reviews from national and international critics and 780 awards won all over the world.
