PELLEGRINO
A representative date for the Pellegrino winery, that of 1880, deliberately mentioned in the company logo, which marks the beginning of everything for a history that exceeds one hundred and thirty years. Cantine Pellegrino was founded in 1880 by the notary Paolo Pellegrino who, together with his son Carlo, chose to invest in the wine sector focusing on the Sicilian lands of Marsala. Since then, entrepreneurial wisdom and family ties have led to the sixth generation currently involved in corporate management, with Maria Chiara Bellina and Sebastiano Renda recently joined the team. One hundred and fifty hectares of vineyards are owned, to which are added as many for rent, for a large production, which exceeds six million bottles per year; with three separate operating units, at the moment the Cantine Pellegrino constitute a s.p.a. that, With its range of labels, it covers every market niche, maintaining the highest quality standards of its wines and satisfying the most demanding consumers. Whites, reds and rosés, and then sweet wines, sweet wines, Marsala, liqueurs and grappa, and also distinct production lines, specifically dedicated to the horeca sector and large distribution: every bottle that comes out of Cantine Pellegrino is the result of a professionalism that has been constantly increased, and has been handed down from father to son, so as to create an entrepreneurial reality among the most important of the entire Italian wine sector. Sustainability goes hand in hand with the concept of gratitude for the earth and the environment, both respected through "green" choices, such as saving energy thanks to the use of LED technology for the company’s lighting and the use of photovoltaics, with a plant that allows you to auto produce an important share of renewable energy. Today more than ever, Cantine Pellegrino is confirmed as a bishop of that territory that, so rich and fertile, represents a treasure for future generations of the family.
