The Pinot Noir Riserva Fallwind from the San Michele Appiano Winery comes from 100% Pinot Noir grapes cultivated on moraine and gravelly soils with a high limestone content: the vineyards are located in the Oltradige region at about 350-600 m above sea level and enjoy a south/west-southeast exposure. Harvesting takes place in mid-September and involves careful selection of the grapes. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel and 12 months of ageing in barrique-tonneau. Finally, blending and further maturation in cement vats take place.

Characteristics of this Pinot Noir Reserve

The organoleptic examination shows a ruby red colour and an olfactory bouquet reminiscent of red fruits such as cherries, berries and currants. The palate is complex yet delicate.

Suggested food pairings with this Trentino red wine

Excellent with meat dishes such as lamb, kid and game. Also try it with hard cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 14-16°C.
