This vine which took its name from the agricultural hamlet Termeno in the south Tyrolean Unterland is the bedrock of the white wines produced in Alto Adige. The production Company Terlano has joined innovation and tradition by using the grapes of this fantastic vine in the production of the Gewürztraminer. Thanks to its remarkable floral and fruity aromas this wine is really appreciate and always more paired to Asian food but also to the Italian tradition with light courses made of fish. The production area is the at North of Terlano. The soils are exposed at South, South-west at 250-500 meters above the sea level with a slope between 5 and 35%.
Characteristics of the white wine "Gewurztraminer Doc"
It has a bright and saturated straw yellow color with the classical scent of the Gewürztraminer which is captivating, with mango and litchi hints but also of honeysuckle and cloves. Finally there is a fantastic bouquet of roses typical of this vine. The taste of the Terlano wine is fresh and fruity with a lively acidity, minerals with a persistent and round aftertaste.

It is perfect with all the spices courses of the Italian tradition. It is perfect to be matched with sweet and sour creation inspired by Asia but also with gnocchi, pumpkin soup, ham with horseradish, with vegetables cooked in the wok or with a breaded cutlet with a potato salad. The Gewürztraminer 2014 Terlano has to be served in a Borgogna wine glass at 10°-12°C.
