The Red Etna "Sentiero delle Gerle" of Mandrarossa is a wine made with the native red grape variety Nerello Mascalese. The vineyards are cultivated on the north-east side of the volcano, the cool and ventilated climate, with strong temperature variations, favors a slow and optimal ripening of the grapes. At the end of the harvest , fermentation in steel tanks with a maceration on the skins of a dozen days. The wine then matures for about a year in large French oak barrels of 50 hectoliters.

The wine has a garnet red color with bright ruby reflections and gives aromas of small berries, hints of aromatic herbs, delicate spicy and toasted sensations. The mouthfeel is elegant, with a dense and very fine tannic texture, well integrated with a ripe fruit, which accompanies to a fresh and savory finish. A perfect wine for those who love medium-bodied, delicate and refined reds.
