Wine list | Veneto Igt |
Single variety wine making with 100% Merlot grapes. This wine produced by Maculan is absolutely part of the tradition of Veneto. The vineyard, planted in 1994, is located between Ferrata and Santo Stefano and counts 10.000 vines per hectare. The volcanic hills of the area are characterized by soils full of tuff. “Corsara” wine is the result of different careful actions: manual harvest, selection of the bunches, light over-maturation of the grapes, fermentation in small steel containers, 8 days maceration. The aging is managed for a year in new barriques and for further six months in the bottle.
Features of the red wine “Corsara” produced by Maculan winery
The organoleptic exam reveals a rich and deep purple red colour. Its perfume is rich and recalls small black fruits, mature fruits, spices, coffee and chocolate. The taste is characterized by hints of undergrowth, mature fruits and elegant, sweet tannins.
