The white “Albarola” of the Lunae winery is a refined wine with the DOC Colli di Luna certification which guarantees the origin. The grapes used are the 100% Albarola. The vineyards are located in Castelnuovo Magra and Ortonovo hamlets in the La Spezia province. The soil is pebbly with stones. The cultivation method is the Guyot with a density of 4000 units per hectare with a profit of 80 quintals per year. All the vineyards have an average production period of 20 years. The harvest takes place in the first half of September until the end of the month, then it pass through a short stoking period in wooden boxes and then they have to ferment in steel tanks for 12 hours. The aging takes place in steel tanks until March.
Characteristics of the Colli di Luni Albarola
It has a straw yellow color with an intense scent and rich of nuances such as wild flowers, Mediterranean scrub and citrons. The taste is wide and fresh with the same sensation kept by the nose. Its remarkable sapid taste gives an infinite persistence.

The “Albarola” wine of the Lunae winery is absolutely suitable to sea food. Roasted, fried, grilled fish and sea salads are all perfect matches with this fantastic wine from Liguria. It has to be served at 12°C in wide wine glass with long stems.
