It is a celebrating Champagne with a unique, bright and convivial essence. The denomination of the Champagne of the Roederer maison is Champagne AOC. This wine is made with Pinot Noir at 55%, and Chardonnay at 45%. The Cristal is the most renowned wine of this maison. It is produced only during the best years when the balance of the blend is perfect and then it ages 6 years in the cellar and further 8 months after the disgorging. It is a powerful wine for the Pinot nero and elegant too for the Chardonnay. It is concentrated, thick, fresh and mineral with the best cru of the Marna. It is immense and paradisiacal and if aged it becomes divine.
Characteristics of the Champagne Cristal
It has a bright straw yellow color with light amber reflections. The perlage is delicate, fine and persistent. The smell is wide and rich of candied citrons like lemon and orange, white flowers like lilium, and dry and toasted fruits aromas like almond and nut. The taste is round, decided, juicy, soft and creamy. The structure is fresh and harmonic.
Suggested pairings with this famous Champagne Cristal
A meditation wine. It is also perfect with caviar, fish, mollusks and crustacean like lobsters and oysters. It must be served at 8°C in a high and tapered wine glass.
