The Barbera d’Alba DOC “LEOPARODI” of the Filari di Luna winery is a classy red wine produced by 100% Barbera grapes. The grapes are cultivated in Mango, in the Cuneo province whom soil is rich of clay marl and it has great weather conditions perfect for business vineyards. The Barbera vines are cultivated with the French Guyot method at 500 meters above the sea level, exposed at South. The harvest begins at the beginning of October until the half of the month. The final refinement lasts 6 months in steel barrels and additional 6 months in bottle.

The Barbera d’Alba Filari di Luna has an intense and bright crimson colour. It has some mixed berries flavour with a very persistent rose hint. The taste is soft, warm, balanced and sapid.
Suggested pairings with the Barbera d’Alba
The Barbera d’Alba Filari di Luna Purpurea is ideal with local main courses but also with roasted or boiled meats and with long aged cheeses. It has to be served in wide wine glasses such as the Grand Ballon at 18-20°C.
