From the vinification of precious 100% pure Aglianico grapes. The origin is that of Basilicata, and more precisely on the hills of Monte Vulture. Concerning vinification, we proceeds with fermentation and maceration in steel tanks for 25/30 days. 12 months in barriques, tonneaux, and French oak barrels of I, II and III passage. Minimum 12 months in the bottle. Finally, the refinement takes place in the bottle for at least a minimum of 36 months.
Aglianico del Vulture Superiore Basilisco DOCG Feudi di San Gregorio Basilisco’s features
A deep and intense ruby red color. The perfume has a rich and wide bouquet of aromas that develops on the nose with well pronounced balsamic notes, embellished with hints of berries, violets, roasted coffee, tar and licorice. The taste in the mouth is dense, full-bodied, with astringent tannins and marked acidity. It closes with a persistent finish.
