From the vinification of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Sangiovese united in a skilful, refined and highly prestigious blend. The origin is the classic one of Tuscany. Harvest is in October. Vinification involves the separate fermentation of the various vines, maceration of about 20 days and malolactic fermentation in cement. Aging for about 18 months in French barriques personally selected for this wine by the company's technicians. This is followed by aging in 60% new wood and 40% second passage.
Toscana Rosso Solengo Argiano’s features
A dark purple colour. The scent is of great explosiveness on the nose, with notes of black berry fruit, spices, well integrated woody, chocolate and coffee. The taste on the palate is soft and round but with an excellent acid boost. Firm but soft tannins. Powerful and explosive, it embodies all the energy of the hot vintage while maintaining a surprising freshness.
