This red wine from Cantina Giustini is part of the DESIGN line, wines that can best express the greatness of native grapes without neglecting a touch of style. For its production, pure Primitivo grapes are used, coming from the vineyards of San Giorgio Ionico, Taranto, and planted on medium-textured soils with a good percentage of clay. The harvest takes place in the first 10 days of September: followed by maceration and alcoholic fermentation using selected yeasts for about ten days, at controlled temperature. The final aging phase takes place in French oak barriques for 3 months.
Characteristics of this Salento wine
It features a ruby red color with purplish highlights. The olfactory notes are rich, intense, and complex: black cherry, plum, and cherry. On the palate it is broad and well balanced, soft tannins.
