This is a renowned and essential wine produced by the Terlano winery which is a prestigious symbol of Trentino Alto Adige. The Lagrein is a local wine which can be used for red wines with a richer structure and also for rosé. This fresh and bright wine has to be drunk preferable in the hot summer months. The Lagrein rosé DOC is fruity, fresh and easy to drink; for this reason in the last years its success has grown more and more. The Terlan denomination is the DOC Alto Adige and for this wine have been used 100% Lagrein grapes. It takes place the manual grape harvest and it follows a delicate pressing of the entire bunch and the racking off made by natural sedimentation. The slow fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under temperature control. Finally the aging period lasts 5-7 months on fine yeasts in steel barrels. The production area is the at North of Terlano. The soils are located at 250-500 meters above the sea level.
Characteristics of this rosé wine of the Terlano winery
It has a charged and bright pink color with salmon reflections almost red. It is very bright. The perfume is very fruity with raspberry and strawberry aromas with a very light black cherry hint. The taste is winy and soft with an harmonic effect with a perfect contrast with its fresh and fruity acidity.
Suggested pairings with this Rosé wine
The Lagrein Rosé of the Terlano winery is perfect with the beef tartare, with a delicate carpaccio or with a vegetables strudel. It has to be served in a white, high and tapered wine glass at 12°-14°C. If served fresher, it guarantees the scent spread.
