8 hectares cultivated with Grillo variety on soils rich of sands and limestone, that characterize the harvest in a particular way. These grapes grow between the salt pans of “Stagnone di Marsala”, in particular in the little Mozia, a little “pearl” of the Phoenicians culture. This Mediterranean terroir offered its first results in the 19th century, but with Tasca family, Grillo di Mozia, with its scent of broom, lime and white pepper, has changed its personality. Single variety wine making made with 100% Grillo. The vineyards are cultivated in Mozia, on the island of San Pantaleo in the district of Trapani and in Stagnone island, a few kilometres far from Marsala coast.
Features of the white wine “Grillo Mozia” produced by Tasca winery
The organoleptic exam shows a shiny straw yellow colour with green shades. Its perfume is characterized by a bouquet rich of energy, full of floral hints, like lindon, broom, citrus fruits and salt. Soft sensations of anise and white pepper follow. The taste has a good persistence and a savoury final.
