The Berlucchi Brut 61 is a white wine which belongs to the classic line of the Berlucchi winery. It is a famous and excellent Italian winery presents at the Expo 2015 with a specific stand of the Franciacorta. The Bianco 62 Brut is produced with Chardonnay grapes at 90% and Pinot Nero at 10% coming from different towns in the Franciacorta area. Part of the cultivation is taken care by the Berlucchi specialists. The profit is around 80-100 quintals per hectare. The must profit is 55%. There is a soft pressing of the grapes with the fractioning of the musts. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks and the full maturation of the cuvee occurs in the next spring. Finally it is bottled with the liqueur the tirage for 24 grams per liter of sugars and selected yeasts. The aging on yeasts for 24 months is followed by other two months after the disgorging.
Characteristics of this Franciacorta Berlucchi winery
It has a rich soft foam, with a good persistence and a perlage very thin and persistent. It has a straw yellow color with green reflections very thin. The scent is fresh, rich, elegant, quite persistent and medium intense. There are remarkable white pulp fruits aromas and citrons hints. The taste is fresh and acid, soft and balanced. Very good the final citron hints.
Suggested pairing with the Franciacorta Brut '61 Docg
The white 61 Brut wine of Berlucchi is recommended for appetizer moments. It can be also considered a meal wine. It is also perfect with casoncelli (stuffed ravioli) and with lake fishes (perch and char). Also good with rice, white meats and fresh cheeses. It has to be served at 8°C in a high and tapered wine glass.
