Andrian
It was at the end of the nineteenth century, in 1893 precisely, that thanks to the courage and vision of the winemakers of the Terlano area, the Cantina Sociale di Andriano was born, a reality that over the decades has always known how to distinguish itself for the absolute quality of its production. It is no coincidence: the vast majority of the vineyards owned by the approximately seventy contributing members, stand out for care, altitude and exposure, to the south-east and between 260 and 340 meters along that segment of Val d'Adige that looks from Bolzano in Merano. An ideal geographical area highly suited to the cultivation of the most typical varieties of the area, from pinot nero to merlot, from Lagrein to pinot bianco, from gewürztraminer to sauvignon blanc, just to name the best known. Hills that thanks to the winds that come from the mountains can enjoy a particular temperature range and constant ventilation, where you can work each plot in a natural way, limiting the number of interventions to a minimum. Between the rows, with the utmost respect for the environment, ecosystem, biodiversity and nature, the attention is constant and the dedication with which we take care of every single plant is extraordinary, so as to maintain that precious balance that is difficult to achieve unchanged, and thanks to the which is possible to harvest, year after year, rich, precious and healthy bunches. In the cellar, in many respects a philosophy similar to that adopted in the vineyard is followed, for which respect for the peculiarities of the raw material is maximum, and the grapes are processed always trying to bring out all that the season and the territory have been able to tell in the fruit. In 2008, it became part of the same group to which Cantina Terlano also belongs, this is how the Andrian winery continues to represent one of the best cooperatives not only in South Tyrol, but also in the whole Peninsula, a real guarantee quality.
