This wine is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, cultivated in the DOC area “Rosso Valtellina”, in the villages of Berbenno, Castione and Tirano. The harvest starts in the second half of October. After the soft pressing, the grapes are poured into steel containers where the alcoholic fermentation starts. Then, 9 days cooling maceration in contact with the skins at 25°C, followed by malolactic fermentation, developed both in steel and in wood and 10 months aging. The maturation continues for 6 months in the bottle.
Features of this Rosso di Valtellina wine by Mamete Prevostini
The organoleptic analysis shows a shiny ruby red colour, really clear. Its fresh perfume recalls fragrant and pleasant sensations of fresh red fruits, followed by floral aromas of violet and rose. The taste is fresh, dry and persistent.

This is a complete wine that can serve the entire meal. It represents the perfect marriage for medium-structured preparations, like cold cuts or cheeses. It has to be served at 14°C in a wide wine glass that helps the oxygenation.
