The prestigious Pinot Bianco grapes used for the production of the refined Pinot Bianco Athesis Alto Adige DOC wine of the Kettmeir winery are cultivated on loose soils, with calcareous origins and some clay. They are located at 580-620 meters above the sea level. The grapes harvest takes place in the third week of September and it follows the wine making process made by following the technical policies of production for this label. There is a soft pressing of the grapes and a double fermentation: firstly in steel tanks kept between 17-19°C and then in wood. The aging period takes place in tanks on yeasts until late spring time, and then it is prepared for the bottling. The grapes used are 100% Pinot Bianco.
