As for the Unterebner Pinot Grigio wine, the Moriz Pinot Bianco is the representation of the wine project of the Tramin winery with the wise work of the farmers who are connected to this land for 300 years. In this bottle, there are all the unique smells of this land expressed with an incredible elegance and able to express the farmer tradition which has always been connected to the mountains to the nature and its rhythm. The denomination is Südtirol – Alto Adige DOC. The production is made with 100% Pinot Bianco grapes and the cultivation is located at 450-600 meters above the sea level. The soil is calcareous, clay and pebbly. There is strong thermal excursion with warm days and cold nights and the name Moriz comes from San Maurizio which is the saint of Sella a little hamlet in the Termeno territory. There is a soft pressing of the grapes, and the must is put in little steel tanks at 19°C without the malolactic fermentation. Once bottled is ready to be sold.
Characteristics of the Pinot Bianco "Moriz" wine
It has a straw yellow color with green reflections and it is a very young wine. The smell is buttery with citrons, pear and dry fruits aromas. The taste is fresh, juicy and full with a decided mineral hint and a lightly spicy and long end.
