The Classic line of the products of the renowned Kettmeri winery debuts with this refined and elegant white wine made by Sauvignon grapes at 100% which is rich of perfumes with an enveloping taste. The wine making process starts with a short maceration on peels at low temperatures to help and optimize the extraction of the aromas that the grapes give to the wine. It follows the fermentation in steel tanks at 17-19°C. The marvelous Sauvignon grapes are cultivated on a clay soils, mostly calcareous with a good presence of rocks and organic substances. They are located at 350-500 meters above the sea level. They are cultivated in shoot positioning with the trellised method.
Characteristics of the white wine Sauvignon Alto Adige DOC
The Kettmeir production of the Sauvignon DOC dell’Alto Adige obtained great national and international rewards. The color is a light straw yellow which is characteristic of the grapes cultivated in Trentino Alto Adige. The perfume is particular and reminds the nettle, the elder and the apricots all penetrating and marked. The taste is fresh, persistent and textured.
Suggested pairings with this great white wine of the Kettmeir winery
The delicacy and the freshness of the Sauvignon Alto Adige DOC wine is particularly indicated with onion soup, baked fish, or a French course made of snails, potatoes and onions. Another perfect match is with asparagus and grilled vegetables such as aubergine and zucchini. It has to be served at 14°C in tall and tapered wine glasses for the diffusion of the fragrances.
