From the vine of Merlot. Although not an autochthonous grape variety, Merlot has been part of the Friulian wine tradition for a long time, having been imported into Friuli in 1880. The origin is the classic one of Russiz Superiore-Capriva del Friuli. Altitude: between 80 and 200 meters above sea level. Vinification and fermentation follow after the grapes are separated from the stalks, they are placed in Mace - rare in large steel vats for a variable period depending on the vintage. During this phase delicate fulling operations allow to extract the noble components precursors of the taste and aroma of wine. Finally, the aging of the obtained wine is left to age for twelve months in small oak barrels, after bottling the wine remains resting for about six months.
