Made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes. The origin of the vineyards lies in the classic Russiz Superiore-Capriva del Friuli area. The altitude of the land is between 80 and 200 meters above sea level. The vinification and fermentation are articulated after the harvest, the grapes are separated from the stalk. The juice and pulp undergo a cold maceration, then a slight pressing that allows the separation from the skins. The aging of the wine is developed in small oak barrels for twelve months; after bottling it remains resting about six months in the bottle.
Features of the red wine
The wine has an intense ruby red color, compact and dark. The aroma is of great intensity and elegance, blending fruity and vegetal sensations. The olfactory fan ranges from red berried fruits such as black cherry, blackberry and black currant, to the vegetable pepper. The taste on the palate is important and classy, with a rich body, ample and pleasant. It shows a freshness well fused with soft notes. The finish is long and confirms and widens the sense of smell.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this wine by Marco Felluga
A perfect wine to accompany second courses of meat, is to be combined with free-range roast chicken. The optimal serving temperature is 16 ºC in a high and wide glass that gives off the aromas.
