The Chianti DOCG classic wine of the Tuscany tradition comes from Montalcino. The cultivation area is the Chianti DOCG. The vine called “Gineprone”, took its name by a feature of the soil, from a juniper located near the vineyard that contributes to the aroma of the Chianti wine. The Chianti DOCG Gineprone di Col D’Orcia is produced by 90% of sangiovese and 10% of Cabernet sauvignon. There are 10-12 days of fermentation on peels at 28°C in stainless steel tanks of 150 hl with a shape that helps the extraction of the tannins and the color. It follows the maturation process with the aging period in the historical Col d’Orcia cellar in Slavonia and Allier oak barrels for few months. It follows an aging period in bottle of 4 months.

The Chianti DOCG Gineprone has an intense ruby red color. The smell is fruity with typical ripen red fruits and wooden aromas coming from the barrels. The taste is full and persistent with a good structure. The aftertaste is sapid and pleasantly fruity.
