Wine list | Bolgheri |
A Bordeaux style proposed by Ca' Marcanda Winery, with a high international success. Composed in a blend of grapes that for 50% are of Merlot, 25% Cabernet sauvignon, and 25% Cabernet franc. The vineyards in Bolgheri, Tuscany, rise on brown lands, rich in silt and clay, but also on white lands, rich in limestone, clay and stones. Elements that give aromas and structure to the wine. The vinification provides that the grapes depending on the variety perform fermentation and maceration separately for about 15 days. After 12 months of aging in wood, it is blended and a few months in the bottle before marketing. Brother of "Promis", the Bolgheri "Magari" of Ca' Marcanda, a company originally run by Gaja, ages for 18 months in French oak barrels. It achieves an enviable balance between fruit, softness and tertiary scents released by the aging in wood.
