Weinbeschreibung
Cannonau di Sardegna DOC "Nostranu" is one of the most important red wines of the Sardinia region. The grapes used for its production are 100% Cannonau. The grapes are harvested manually, crushed, destemmed and stored in wooden vats where fermentation begins for about 10 days; after this phase the wine continues to age in steel tanks where malolactic fermentation takes place.
The characteristics of Cannonau di Sardegna
The Cannonau di Sardegna has a soft ruby color. The nose is very fruity and fresh and the palate is medium-bodied. Serve in large crystal glasses at 18-20ºC.
Recommended pairings with Cannonau di Sardegna wine
It is advisable to open the bottle 30 minutes before use to enhance its qualities. It goes well with pasta dishes with meat sauce, stewed and grilled red meat, game and mature cheeses.
