This bottle is Magnum 1,5 Liters.
Rosso di Montalcino DOC, by Capanna winery, is a great Italian red wine. It’s made from 100% Sangiovese grapes. Bunches are harvested, selected and must is fermented together with the pomace in stainless steel vessels at a controlled temperature for 18-20 days. Refinement takes place in small Slavonia and Allier oak barrels for 12 months, than the wine is bottled. During the bottling time, refinement process goes on for 3 months in cellar.
Characteristics of Rosso di Montalcino wine
It presents an intense ruby red colour. On the nose it releases a very elegant and intense bouquet with currant notes. Full-bodied and in taste, with a lightly amount of tannins.
Recommended pairings while tasting this red wine from Tuscany
It should be served in a wide transparent crystal glass at a temperature of 16-18°C. We suggest to uncork the bottle one hour before serving to enhance its qualities. It can be perfectly paired with main courses with meat sauce, charcuterie, fresh or middle-aged chees white and red meat. It can be kept for many years, if properly conserved: the bottle must be set down in a cool and dark place.
