The Barolo DOCG of the Cellar The Clogmaker comes from Nebbiolo grapes from various owned vineyards located in the municipalities of Barolo, Monforte d'Alba and Verduno. The grapes, collected in crates, are pressed immediately after the harvest and fermented in steel tanks; the wine subsequently ages in barrique for 36 months and rests in the bottle for another 6 before being marketed.
Characteristics of this Piedmontese wine from the Lo Zoccolaio winery
At the organoleptic examination this wine shows a garnet red colour. The nose is intense and complex; with hints of black cherry, notes of violet, hints of licorice and leather tones. On the palate it is broad, round and with a long persistence.
Recommended pairings while tasting this Piedmontese red wine
Excellent in combination with stews and steaks, it goes well with game and is also ideal to accompany aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16° in a not very wide glass.
