ATTEMS
Attems has always been synonymous with the fine viticulture of Collio, where personality and passion in producing wine are the mirror of the territory. The aim of Attems is in fact to develop wines that are unique in their style and represent a real novelty in the Italian wine scene. It was in 1964 that Count Sigismondo Douglas Attems, created the Consorzio Tutela Vini del Collio of which he was its president until 1999. It was immediately decided to limit the production area of the Collio to the 8 municipalities of: Capriva del Friuli, Mossa, Gorizia, San Floriano del Collio, Dolegna del Collio, San Lorenzo Isontino, Cormòns and Farra d'Isonzo. Starting in 2000, Attems decided to merge with one of the most important Italian wineries: the Frescobaldi wineries.
