Wine list | Roero Arneis |
This wine has DOCG denomination. It is produced with 100% Arneis, cultivated in the zone of Santo Stefano Roero, characterized by soils rich of clay and limestone. The vines, trained with Guyot method, are 25 years old and have an average density of 4500-5000 plants per hectare. The wine making process starts with the mechanical separation of the stalks, followed by soft pressing. The fermentation is managed in steel containers at a temperature that swings between 10-12°C. It is really slow, in order not to lose freshness and intensity. In the middle of the process, the containers are closed tightly to absorb a little quantity of natural CO2. This wine doesn’t need the malolactic fermentation, as it rests on its yeasts till the bottling. This wine produced in Piedmont by Vietti is great with every type of meal. It is a fantastic article to keep at home for every happening.
