A wine with peculiar characteristics. Capable of enclosing in itself all the characteristics of the territory from which it comes and where the renowned Ratti winery operates that has always expressed to the maximum the characteristics of its territory. This Nebbiolo from the refined Reggimento sub-area, is the result of the vinification of 100% pure Nebbiolo grapes grown within the Ratti winery. The harvest takes place at the end of September and lasts until mid-October. Then the vinification in the cellar with the destemming-crushing of the bunches and the fermentation at a controlled temperature of 30ºC. The average duration of the maceration is 7-10 days. Then the aging of about a year.
Characteristics of this Piedmont red wine
On organoleptic examination, it has a ruby red color that is not very intense. The bouquet is fine, delicate and persistent with hints of wild strawberry and raspberry. The taste is pleasantly bitter, velvety, light and full at the same time.
Recommended pairings tasting Langhe Nebbiolo
Ideal with the first meat of the Piedmont tradition. Perfect also with the second courses of chicken and pork, cooked with light preparations; gives the best of itself with the escalopes of beef with mushrooms. The optimal serving temperature is 16ºC.
