This wine is produced with 100% Lagrein grapes. The vineyard rises in the area of the crü “Vigna Castel Ringberg”, in the district of Caldaro. To be more precise, it is located on the hill above Caldaro lake, with 350 meters elevation and south-east exposition. Its soils are mainly composed by clay and sands. Fermentation in steel followed by 10 days maceration in contact with skins and malolactic fermentation in wooden barrels. 20 months maturation in barriques made of French wood and, after the assembly, a long period of aging in the bottle.
Features of the red wine “Lagrein Riserva Vigna Castel Ringberg DOC”
Dark garnet red colour. Its perfume is wide and opens with intense sensations of spices, enriched by red fruits, plums, dried figues, chocolate and smoked hints. The taste is structured and characterized by tannins. The final is long and intense. recalls exotic fruits enriched by hints of vanilla and toasted, due to its passage in wood. The taste is elegant and dry, fresh, rich, balanced, harmonious and persistent.
