From the vinification of Merlot grapes for 50%, Cabernet Franc grapes for 40% and Pinot Nero grapes for 10%. The origin is that of the prestigious DOC area of Collio, of the Tenuta di Vencò near Gorizia. Harvest takes place manually, as required by the strict disciplinary of the Fantinel winery. Vinification: partial drying of the grapes (about 25%) for eight weeks; slow maceration for about 20 days at a controlled temperature. Aging for 24 months in 30 hl Allier and Slavonian oak barrels.
Collio Rosso Venko Sant’Helena DOC Fantinel’s features
A ruby red color, very dark and intense. The nose scent is dominated by floral scents of violet and red rose, alternating with fruity and spicy aromas; as the minutes pass, aromas tending towards balsamic. The taste is rich, full-bodied, with a strong structure, balanced in flavor and acidity. It closes with a persistent finish.
