The grape variety used for the production of this sensational Italian wine famous all over the world is 100% pure nebbiolo. The production area is that of the sub-area Fontanafredda, in the administrative territory of Serralunga d'Alba. The vinification for the Fontanafredda is fully developed in our estate. It is a border land between the Helvetian and Tortonian lands. The result is a soil with intermediate characteristics with marly clays and layers of clay sand. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. At the end of fermentation, the new wine remains in contact with the marc for a period of about one month. The wine is completely aged in medium and large barrels for two years, with a further twelve months in the bottle.
