This fabulous red wine praises the denomination Barbera D’Asti DOCG. It is produced with 100% Barbera grapes. The vineyards are located in Rocchetta di Tanaro. 20 days maceration on skins at controlled temperature. Then, 15 months aging in oak barrels (225l), followed by further 12 months in the bottle. A legendary wine that represents Barbera and Italy all over the world. It is the most famous and imitated wine. In the glass it is elegant, rich, soft and balanced. Barbera d’ Asti DOCG “Bricco dell’ Uccellone” is a great red that takes its name from an old woman who lived near the cellar. As she was always dressed in black, people named her in the local dialect “l’uselun” = l’ uccellone (big bird).
