The Brunello di Montalcino produced by the Biondi Santi company is the result of a great harvest characterized by a regular season. The main evolution steps have taken advantages by a humid spring and a hot and long summer with some rains. The harvest took place from the 10th of September with rains and cold at the end of the harvest. The sane and ripe grapes, with a thick skin and rich of colour could produce a must rich of sugars with acidity of 3,4 pH. The wine making process took place as tradition under temperature control and the drawing off after 15 days. The production of the Brunello di Montalcino belongs entirely to the DOCG technical policies of production, which are the best one. It is located in Montalcino. The vines used are from 10 and 25 years old and they all belong to the Greppo estate. The composition of the soil put in evidence the different origins and the richness of the stones in the soil. The best are the marly ones. The vines are located with multiple exposition from South, South-east, East, North-east and North. The cultivation is located between 300 and 500 meters above the sea level. The grapes used for the production of this wine are 100% Sangiovese. The fermentation on skins takes place under temperature control. The maturation lasts 3 years and it takes place in Slavonian oak barrels. Finally the bottle aging lasts 4 months.

The color of this fantastic wine is an intense ruby red very full. The aroma is complex, with withered rose hints. The taste is articulated: harmonic, well structured, warm with tannins and with a perfect balance. It is persistent and sapid. It is important the longevity which can achieve the 40 years old.

It has to be served at 18°-20°C.
