This Barolo Chinato Perin wine from the Conterno Fantino winery was born from the vineyards in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba. Pure Nebbiolo grapes grow on silty soils with sand, very calcareous and with a south-eastern exposure. The harvest is carried out manually around the middle of October, at optimal ripeness. Maceration and alcoholic fermentazioone in steel at controlled temperature, followed by malolarric in wood. The final aging phase takes place in French oak wood of various sizes, with the infusion of over 50 different types of herbs, flowers, and spices.
Features of this Barolo Chinato
It has a brick red color with garnet highlights. The olfactory profile is very intense, with notes reminiscent of citrus, cinchona, and mountain herbs. On the palate it is an explosion of flavors, with a sweet note well balanced by the final bitter aftertaste.
