The renowned and prestigious “Tenuta Fanti” property of the homonym family belongs to them since the beginning of 19^th century and it has always be a reference point for the Montalcino territory.In the 70’s Filippo Fanti the present owner, started an innovative process in the production system by focusing on the quality of the product and by re-planting himself the vines after having selected the most appropriated areas in the 300 hectares of propriety.The 40^th years of experience of Filippo, accompanied by his daughter Elisa since 2007, has permitted to the Fanti Estate to always being a reference point for the Montalcino area.The productive area is located in the Montalcino hills toward Castelnuovo dell’Abate. The 300 hectares of land are all around the cellar, a modern one, built in the undergrown to protect the environmental heritage of this amphitheater dominated by the Sant’Antimo Abbey.This area is located from 150 meters to 430 meters above the sea level and the cultivation is various: 50 hectares of vines, 100 hectares of olive groove, 100 hectares of seed and 50 hectares of wood. The poor and rocky ground and the windy climate make this area perfect to cultivate vine and olive.
