The denomination for this sensational wine from the Cà del Bosco winery is Franciacorta Satèn Millesimato DOCG. The blend is mainly composed of Chardonnay vines for 85%, to which is added Pinot Bianco for 15%. The origin of the 14 Chardonnay vineyards from an average age of 34 years, falls within the territories of Erbusco, Adro, Cazzago San Martino, Corte Franca and Passirano. The two Pinot Bianco vineyards with an average age of 26 years are located in Passirano. The vinification for all Franciacorta Vintage Collections are the result of a careful selection of the grapes and a skilful vinification conducted in full compliance with the Ca' del Bosco Method. The grapes, freshly picked by hand in small boxes, are classified and cooled. Each bunch is selected by expert eyes and hands, to then benefit from the exclusive "terme degli acini". A particular system of washing and hydromassage of the bunches, through three soaking tanks and a drying tunnel. After pressing in the absence of oxygen, all the musts of the base wines ferment in small oak barrels. To seek the maximum aromatic complexity and expressive power, without losing elegance, the barrel elevation lasts only 5 months. A pair of floating tanks allows the decanting of wines by gravity, from small barrels to aging tanks. After 7 months from the harvest, the cuvée is created. The Vintage Collection Satèn is the result of a skilful union of 16 base wines of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco. The addition of sugars in smaller quantities than other Franciacortas gives it creaminess and a particular profile, elegant and soft, further strengthened by a long aging in bottle. The dégorgement takes place in the absence of oxygen, using a unique system in the world, designed and patented by Ca' del Bosco. This avoids oxidative shocks and further additions of sulphites, making our Franciacortas purer, more pleasant and longer-lived. Finally, each packaged bottle is uniquely marked, to ensure its traceability.

Characteristics of the Franciacorta Cà del Bosco Vintage Collection Saten

This wine has a crystalline and brilliant yellow colour. The scent is that of ripe pears, apples, but also peaches, pineapples, flowers and spices make up the olfactory bouquet, which is enriched by a pleasant minerality. The nose opens with intense aromas of hazelnuts, enriched by pleasant hints of peach and citrus. The taste is fresh, savory and elegant, it has a long and pure finish with citrus hints.

An ideal sparkling wine to accompany an aperitif, it is excellent if sipped together with a good Brescian robiola. The serving temperature is 8°C in a tall and tapered glass.
