CANTINA DI CARPI E SORBARA
The Cantina di Carpi e Sorbara is a cooperative with about 1,200 producers. With six different plants, divided between Carpi, Sorbara and Concordia in the province of Modena, Poggio Rusco in the province of Mantua, Rio Saliceto in Reggio Emilia and Bazzano in Bologna, the cooperative currently boasts a production capacity that reaches up to 450 thousand hectoliters of wine per year. The wine production is centered, as per the tradition of the territory, on the Lambrusco, for which the Lambrusco di Sorbara, the Lambrusco Salamino, the Lambrusco Maestri, Lambrusco Marani, Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro and Lambrusco Viadanese represent the varieties mainly processed by the cooperative, to which are also added the varieties of Pignoletto and Ancellotta, as well as some international varieties, such as Merlot and Cabernet that, although in limited quantities, are however processed respecting the expression they take in the various territories in which the grapes are cultivated. In the vineyard, the rows of each shareholder are conducted in a careful and careful manner, respecting the environment, the ecosystem and nature to the maximum, in order to get to collect pure bunches, rich and concentrated in all their peculiar organoleptic nuances. In the cellar, modern oenological technologies have made it possible to constantly improve production, so today the Cantina di Carpi and Sorbara is able to offer a high quality product, aimed at an increasingly demanding and competent clientele, all this without forgetting the tradition of Lambrusco. With an average of two million and 300 thousand bottles produced annually, the proposal of Cantina di Carpi and Sorbara is represented by a range of labels really infinite, able at the same time to remain faithful to the territory and its history, that continues to inspire the entire productive philosophy of the cooperative as an essential value and reference point for the future.
