AMARA
Owned by two friends Edoardo Strano and Giuseppe Librizzi, Rossa comes from the idea of enhance Sicily and its peculiarities: obviously there is a clear reference of the company's name to the colour of the citrus fruit symbol of this territory, the Sicilian Red Orange, which is the main ingredient of the Amara liqueur. The company is based in Misterbianco, on the slopes of Mount Etna, where the organically grown citrus fruits acquire their characteristic red colour thanks to the strong temperature excursions of this volcanic territory. Amara is produced with the sole use of water, alcohol, sugar, aromatic herbs and, of course, Arancia Rossa without the addition of additives: this allows for an artisanal and therefore limited production, which has nonetheless allowed the product to be quite successful in Europe but also in Canada and the USA.
