The producing company Altesino produces one of the most renowned Rossi di Montalcino DOC. It is honored by several awards and it is appreciated for its prestigious characteristics for a good price. It is produced with 100% Sangiovese di Montalcino grapes and it has to age in Slavonia oak barrels for 6-8 months and it is commercialized at least after one year from the harvest and it has to age in bottle. There are used 100% Sangiovese grapes and the fermentation is made with the traditional method. It keeps all the varietal characteristics and it respects the tradition of the company. The proof is 13% and it can be aged up to 10 years.
